三陸シネマジャーニー
映画で旅する三陸
石巻から八戸まで、南北に長く連なる三陸沿岸部。2016年にみやこシネマリーンが閉館したことで、常設の映画館はなくなりました。しかし近年、各所にローカルシアターが生まれ、不定期ながら個性豊かな映画上映を展開しています。
もとより、その独特の風土からさまざまな映画のロケ地となってきた三陸。そんな沿岸部のコミュニティシアターとともに、三陸を舞台としたさまざまな映画作品を紹介するガイドブックが「三陸シネマジャーニー」です。
岩田デザイン事務所が、ガイドブックをはじめ、連動企画として開催された3つのシアターによる同時上映会のチラシ＆ポスターをデザインしています。
Sanriku Cinema Journey
Traveling Sanriku Through Film
The Sanriku coast stretches far from north to south, from Ishinomaki to Hachinohe. Since the closure of Miyako Cinemarine in 2016, the area was left without a permanent movie theater. However, in recent years, "local theaters" have begun to emerge in various locations, hosting unique and diverse film screenings on an occasional basis.
Sanriku’s distinctive landscape and culture have long made it a favored filming location for many movies. "Sanriku Cinema Journey" is a guidebook designed to introduce these coastal community theaters alongside the various films set in the region. Iwata Design Studio handled the design for the guidebook, as well as the flyers and posters for the simultaneous screening event held at three participating theaters as part of the project.

A Drive Along the Sanriku Coastal Road
八戸から石巻まで、三陸沿岸道路をドライブしながら各地のゆかりの映画作品とともに、映画にちなんだ名所、地元の人気店などを紹介した、旅のガイドブックにもなっています。
The book also serves as a travel guide for driving from Hachinohe to Ishinomaki. It introduces films connected to each area, along with famous landmarks related to the works and popular local shops, inviting readers to explore the region’s cinematic ties.

沿岸の写真も織り交ぜながら、旅心を誘う編集デザインに。
The editorial design interweaves evocative photographs of the coast, creating a layout that captures the local atmosphere and inspires a sense of wanderlust.
