シネマ・デ・アエル
震災後の文化拠点を作る。
岩手県宮古市の伝説的な映画館、みやこシネマリーンの閉館を受け、地元の人たちが中心となり2016年12月、新たに立ち上げたコミュニティシアター「シネマ・デ・アエル（シネマで逢える）」。東屋さんと通称される江戸時代の蔵を改装し、映画上映を一つの軸とした、地域の文化拠点を誕生させました。
このプロジェクトにデザイナーとして参加し、ロゴをはじめ、プログラムポスターやフライヤー、冊子など各種デザインツールを作成しています。
CINEMA DE AERU
Creating a Cultural Hub in the Aftermath of the Earthquake
Following the closure of the legendary Miyako Cine Marine in Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture, local residents took the initiative to establish a new community theater in December 2016: Cinema de AERU (“a place where we can meet through cinema”).
An Edo-period storehouse—affectionately known as “Azumaya”—was renovated to create this new cultural center, with film screenings serving as its central axis. The space was reborn as a regional hub for arts and culture.
I joined the project as a designer, creating the logo as well as various design tools including program posters, flyers, and booklets.
ロゴについて
About the Logo
ロゴマークはコミュニティの最小単位「家族」にフォーカスし、家紋に取材しています。家紋の中でも、木片や石を カスガイで繋ぐ紋様、人と人との縁を繋ぐシンボルとして古くから存在する「榺（ちぎり）紋」をアレンジし、新たなコミュニティ創出のシンボルとしています。
The logo focuses on the smallest unit of community: the family, drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese kamon (family crests).
Among these motifs, I adapted the Chigiri crest—a pattern depicting pieces of wood or stone joined together with a kasugai clamp. Historically, this symbol has represented the tying together of bonds between people. Reinterpreted for this project, it serves as a symbol of forging new community connections.
セレクターとして作品解説もしています
Serving as a Film Selector and Commentator
自分自身もプロジェクトメンバーとして年に一度、上映作品をセレクトし、現地で上映後の作品解説もしています。アレハンドロ・ホドロフスキー、リューベン・オストルンド、ホン・サンス、ルネ・ラルーといった作家の作品をセレクトし解説をしてきました。もし機会がありましたら、ぜひみなさんも足を運んでみてください。
As a project member, I also select screening films once a year and provide post-screening talks on site.
I have selected and introduced works by filmmakers such as Alejandro Jodorowsky, Ruben Östlund, Hong Sang-soo, and René Laloux.
