ようこそ！二反走シアター

新しくできた集落での、人付き合い

宮城県東松島市の二反走（にたんばしり）は、かつて農地が広がる地区でしたが、2011年3月11日の東日本大震災で家を失った人たちの集落が作られました。ここに住む人たちは、地元を異にする人たち。
新しくできた集落の人付き合いを映画上映などの場作りを通してサポートしようと始まったのが「ようこそ！二反走シアター」です。
このコミュニティシアター企画の、ロゴをはじめとする各種デザインを岩田デザイン事務所が担当しています。
コミュニティの最小単位であり、もっとも根源的な形態である家族の意味にフォーカスし、ロゴマークを家紋から取材しています。

Welcome! Nitanbashiri Theater

Building relationships in a newly formed community

Nitanbashiri, located in Higashimatsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture, was once an area of sprawling farmland. Following the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, a new settlement was established here for those who had lost their homes. The residents come from many different hometowns.
"Welcome! Nitanbashiri Theater" was launched to support social interaction within this new community by creating a space for film screenings and gatherings. Iwata Design Studio is in charge of various design elements for this community theater project, including the logo.
Focusing on the meaning of "family"—the smallest and most fundamental unit of a community—the logo design draws inspiration from Japanese family crests (Kamon).

ロゴマークについて

About the Logo

人と人との繋がりを紡いでいく意味を持った糸巻紋をアレンジし、映写機のロゴマークへと展開しています。ロゴマークは二本線と三角形、四角形に分解可能で、さまざまな幾何学模様に展開できるようにデザインしています。

The logo is an arrangement of the Itomaki-mon (spool crest), which symbolizes the weaving of connections between people, reimagined into the shape of a movie projector. The mark can be broken down into two lines, a triangle, and a square, allowing it to expand into various geometric patterns.

シアター＝公民館という場の機能

Theater as a Community Hub

みずから山菜を採り漬け物を作るお母さんがいて、この漬け物がとても美味しい。地元の人たちが映画を見ながら得意の料理を振る舞い、徐々に近所の距離を縮めながら新しい生活環境を作り上げていこうとしています。

Among the residents is a mother who picks wild plants herself to make pickles—and they are delicious. By sharing such home-cooked specialties while watching movies, the locals are gradually closing the distance between neighbors and building a new life together.
